Police Chief: Robert L. Harold

Robert was born and raised in St Louis Mo. Robert began his career in law enforcement after serving his country in the US Army for 26 years and retired a Sergeant Major. In 1983, while stationed at Ft Hood, he began his career as a Reserve Police Officer for the City of Bellmead. After retirement in 1985 he was hired as a full time officer. After several years and various position in law enforcement, Robert was select, to be the Police Chief in the City of Bellmead.

Robert and his Wife Mary Ann, are involved members of the their church and many civic organizations in Bellmead.

Robert was a pacesetter by being the first African American in the history of McLennan County to win a party nomination and run for sheriff.

Robert has the distinction of being the recipient of many local and national awards.

 

Lieutenant:A. Davenport

Anita graduated from Meridian High School in 1985. She went on to Tarrant County Junior College and studied computer science. Anita began her career in law enforcement as a jailer with Bosque County Sheriff's Department

Anita attended MCC where she obtained her EMT & graduated from the Regional Police Academy.

In 1996, Anita was hired by the City of Bellmead Police Department. After several years she became the G.R.E.A.T. Instructor (Gang Resistance Education and Training)

Anita was appointed as Acting Chief of Police in 2001 while Robert Harold ran for Sheriff.

Anita holds numerous peace officer certifications and currently holds the Lieutenant position.

This mission is realized as we impartially, yet aggressively, uphold federal, state, and local laws, conscientiously deliver professional police services and respect the rights of those we encounter.
