The Bellmead Economic Development Corporation is funded by a one-half (½) cent 4a tax referendum under the Development Corporation Act of 1979. Bellmead Economic Development corporation assists, stimulates and enhances economic development in Bellmead, Texas, subject to applicable State and Federal laws and the Bylaws and the Articles of Incorporation of Bellmead Economic Development Corporation. The sales tax revenues are utilized to increase job opportunities available to the citizens of Bellmead by assisting in the expansion of local industry and the attraction of new industry to Bellmead and McLennan County.
