Mrs. Youngblood was raised in the Waco area and attended Waco schools through the 10th grade. She graduated from High School in Salem, S.C, and received her RN from El Centro College in Dallas. She married Willie B. Youngblood in 1961, and they lived on La Clede until he was drafted. After his tour in the U. S. Army, they moved to the Metroplex. They have two sons and four grandchildren. They moved back to Bellmead in 1985. She retired from Waco VA Hospital where she was a staff nurse and Head Nurse in 1996.
Mrs. Youngblood became politically active in 2009, and was elected to the Bellmead City Council in May 2010. She is presently serving on the Executive Board at Church, Past Regent and on Executive Board of Henry Down Chapter DAR. Serves on the Executive Board of Peter Folger Chapter Colonial Dames. She is a Dame of the Magna Charta. Her hobbys are genealogy, attending the grandchildrens sports activities and traveling.
